As I walked into room five I saw eyes stare at me, then they go back to their work. I put one foot on the carpet, it felt like stiff sheep wool. When I walked in I saw lots of kids doing their work at their desk and art work on the wall with lots of bright colours. There were lots of happy children smiling. Miss Kelly has been teaching for two years at South Makirikiri School but she has actually been a teacher for four years.
Before she was a teacher, she really wanted be a nurse so she decided to do St John's. But she stopped doing St John's because she saw what happened to her brother Adam when he got burnt in a fire in their paddock.
At University Miss Kelly found it really hard. Miss Kelly started at 8:30 in the morning and left at 5:00 in the evening. The first year she had to pay $10,000.00.
So far, Miss Kelly has been teaching at South Makirikiri in room five and four. Miss Kelly's year eight primary teacher Miss Muun made Miss Kelly go up, not down.
Over the last 4 weeks I have learnt heaps about miss kelly. She is a really fun, inspiring teacher, a dog lover, a coffee addict, a hockey player, a cricket enthusiastic, a Kit Kat Chunky eater, a Kmart freak, an older sister and she loves rose gold. I am looking forward to learning more.
